Cheney and Biden – A Pair of Lethal Vice Presidents

Sadly, Americans suffer from acute political amnesia. As we head off into a feverish, ugly, and useless attempt to impeach and unseat Joe Biden for some shenanigans he clearly pulled as vice president, it would be well to remember another Veep who fired off some whoppers of his own while in office.  


Dick Cheney, arguably the brains behind the George W. Bush administration, leveraged the 9/11 atrocity to get us involved in two long; pointless; expensive; and, of course, bloody wars. He hid behind an obviously impossible attempt at regime change and phantom weapons of mass destruction while giving his cronies a chance to make billions during our invasions and occupations of two nations who together could not take on Rhode Island. (Yes, Saddam Hussein had an armada of Soviet-era tanks that we blew out of the sand from long and safe distances)  


Viewed in hindsight, what Cheney did was unconscionable.  And a lot of blood will forever be on his hands. 


Now the Republicans are digging into the vice presidency of Joe Biden and have uncovered evidence that Hunter Biden leveraged his father’s position in connection with a Ukrainian business known as Burisma.  While the evidence is damning that wrongdoing was gleefully at play during this time, the Republicans know that they do not have the political firepower to impeach the president, let along hurl him from office in favor of the fabulously unqualified Kamela Harris. It’s just a way to fundraise and have dueling indictments sparking about between Trump and Biden throughout the 2024 campaign. Pure shoddy politics! And more wasted taxpayer dollars. 


But hold on! Ukraine?  


Do you not find it intriguing that of all the corrupt nations (and there are plenty) to treat with, Hunter and Joe snuggled up to gloriously corrupt Ukraine? 


The same Ukraine into which we are currently pouring billions in cash and ordinance.  Does Vladimir Putin know things about this father/son conman team that we should know? Could that be the reason Putin felt that the time was ripe to slip into Ukraine with his rusty and alcoholic army?    


The fog of war shrouds all of this.  But I find it very difficult to believe that Ukraine is coincidentally the focal point in both the impeachment investigation and another gore-filled conflict. It strains credulity to the breaking point.  I am not alone in this analysis. Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also smells something rotten in this overripe kettle of fish. (1)  


From this perspective, both Dick Cheney and Joe Biden may have barrels of unwashable blood on their hands.

Why do unqualified Democrats continue to win elections?
